This person will lead technical research programs involving spacecraft guidance, navigation and control systems. The candidate should have a strong background in control and spacecraft dynamics. Experience writing MATLAB, C++, and/or Java software is desirable and will be a substantial part of the job. This job includes proposal writing; published papers and proposal experience is a plus. A Masters degree in engineering is required and a PhD is preferred.
This job may be located in Albuquerque, NM, supporting the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) at Kirtland Air Force Base. AFRL Space Vehicles Directorate is using PSS software to support their spacecraft simulation testbed. Alternate location is Princeton, NJ. This engineer will manage our MATLAB toolboxes, the Spacecraft and Aircraft Control Toolboxes. Our toolboxes are sold worldwide and we have several international distributors. The latest addition to our toolboxes is a CubeSat module for university groups building CubeSats. This job includes managing releases of our toolboxes, providing technical support to our customers, and supporting marketing efforts. The candidate will review existing software, add new features, and perform testing. The candidate should have an aerospace degree or concentration with coursework in control and dynamics, and experience writing MATLAB software. There will be occasional travel to conferences. A Bachelor's degree is required and a Masters degree is desirable.

This person will be responsible for designing and building the electrical systems for Vertical Axis and Portable Vertical Axis Wind Turbines. The engineer will also support other projects including the Optical Navigation System flight hardware.
